My trailer is currently in its editing process. However, the music is needed and more filming. As for filming, I would need to film more scenes as it does not fill the music as I would like it too. A few more scenes from the book would fit near the end. I also feel like I need more action shots as it is rather slow in the beginning. I am currently working on a new storyboard to fit in some more scenes.

Mercury Rises- Trailer Music


This is the music I am using for my movie trailer. The audio clip has been edited in Garage Band to be made smaller and the music more snappy for the videos used in the trailer. I chose this piece of music because it is upbeat and sounds like an action movie trailer song. However, this audio clip is not the edited version.

Trailer start

This clip is the beginning of my trailer, however the music has since been shortened down and is in sync with the clock. This will be used at the beginning before the music of the trailer for suspense.

Filming locations

The locations in which we have filmed are all the same except for Bidston Hill. We ended up filming in a local park where other scenes could be filmed in the one place as well. As for timing, it was done after school just before it was too dark outside. This was done for the effect it will give off on the clip and showing what sort of genre it is.

Filming update

Due to the actor not able to be free for filming, I had to re-film using somebody else and additionally add more scenes. I had originally filmed half of the trailer and edited it. However, there is no music to it yet.

Music update

Before editing, I had to construct the trailer music. With using different audio files, I had to compose the music to fit what scenes would be used. To do this I used Garageband where I put the audio clips together but in a way that they would flow into each other without being too much of a cut between them.

Day 1 and 2

At the beginning of filming for my trailer, the camera I had used wasn't of a suitable quality meaning that I then had to re- film on another camera. As the filming began, I had planned it out daily in the week what was being filmed and what would be needed.

A time where everybody was available was then made. On the first day we filmed the more casual scenes where Becky was just sitting and taking part in an activity. With these scenes I have planned to create a small montage within the trailer.

This was also the same for other a prison scene that was filmed on another day. However, Becky was not available at the time so my sister was used who has similar hair to becky. these scenes where not showing the face. Even though this was a disadvantage it still worked for the theme of the trailer.

Other shorter scenes where filmed regarding shots of scenery that could be used as a transition for a scene, or to show the location of the character in more depth.

Most of these scenes don't use audio because a voice over will be used to show the phycological thriller of the trailer and to show that the actual character could be going crazy. However, sound effects from some of the films will be used.
